5G Connection Will Reach Every Village Of India: PM

Modi said that the 5G telecommunications network will boost the Indian economy by USD 450 billion in the next one and a half decade

The country has transparently moved towards 4G and now 5G. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said this at the silver jubilee celebrations of the telecom sector regulator TRAI. He said that connectivity will decide the progress of the country in the 21st century. The 2G era was a symbol of policy stagnation, corruption, the country has transparently moved towards 4G and now 5G.

Addressing the event, Modi said that the 5G telecommunications network will boost the Indian economy by USD 450 billion in the next one and a half decade. He said that the telecom density, internet users are increasing rapidly in India. Mobile manufacturing units in India have grown from two to over 200, India is today the largest mobile manufacturing hub in the world.

Prime Minister further said that 5G-Testbed will play a big role in bringing 5G technology to the villages of the country and in that work. This 21st century connectivity will determine the country's activity. 5-G technology will be done to bring positive changes in the governance of the country.

In his address, Modi said that it is a pleasant cooperation that the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has completed 25 years. Today the country is working on the road map for the next 25 years in the elixir of independence. A while back I have got the opportunity to dedicate the country to a self-made 5G-Testbed Nation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the silver jubilee celebrations of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) via video conferencing. The Prime Minister released a postage stamp on the occasion. Union IT and Communications Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and others were present on this occasion.
