Tata Power Trading Company Inks Agreement To Establish 200 MW Solar Project In Rajasthan

According to a regulatory filing, the company has inked a power purchase agreement with TP Surya

Tata Power Trading Company has inked a power purchase agreement with TP Saurya to establish a 200 MW solar project at Bikaner in Rajasthan.

It may be mentioned here that TP Saurya (TPSL) is a subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), which is an arm of Tata Power.

According to the regulatory filing by Tata Power, by March 2024, the plant will be put into operation. According to TPTCL, a PPA with TPSL was signed for a 25-year period, and the project will provide 485 million units of electricity per year.

Now TPREL's overall renewable energy capacity has increased to 6,788 MW, with 3,917 MW installed (solar 2,989 MW and wind - 928 MW) and 2,871 MW in various phases of implementation, according to a regulatory filing by Tata Power.

TPTCL is into power trading on exchanges such as Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) and Power Exchange of India Limited (PXIL).
