Rahul Gandhi: 3 Things You Should Know About New Congress President

Rahul Gandhi, the Vice President of Indian National Congress has filed his nomination documents for the Presidentship of INC. He was born on 19th June 1970. He is the great-grandson of India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. His grandmother was India’s first woman Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. Former Prime Minister and pilot Rajiv Gandhi was his father. His mother, Sonia Gandhi is the current President of the Indian National Congress. His personal life has many secrets regarding his education, ethnicity, marriage, girlfriend etc. Here are some less known fact about him:

Due to threats to his life, Rahul Gandhi has to change his school regularly. He studied at St. Columbia School, Delhi. Later, he studied at the Doon School in Dehradun, Uttrakhand from 1981 to 1983. After the assassination of his Grandmother Indira Gandhi, he was home-schooled. Rahul studied at St. Stephen’s College, Delhi in 1989 but after one year he left the college and joined Harvard University. In 1991 after the assassination of his father Rajiv Gandhi, he shifted to Rollins College in Florida, USA. In 1994, he obtained his B.A. degree with a changed name Raul Vinci. He also holds an M.Phil from Trinity College, Cambridge.
