India Test-Fires Agni-5 Ballistic Missile: 5 things to know

India has successfully test-fired its Agni 5 missile- the nuclear capable, inter-continental ballistic missile which can cover over 5,000 kilometers from Abdul Kalam island off Odisha coast.

According to DRDO officials, the three-stage, solid propellant surface-to-surface missile was test-fired from a canister launcher, mounted on a mobile platform from No 4 Launchpad of the Integrated Test Range (ITR) in Abdul Kalam Island.
