5 Things To Know: New Organ “Interstitium” Discovered In Human Body

As per the study published in journal Scientific Reports, a new organ of human body has been discovered which is termed as “Interstitium”. According to the study, it may be one of the largest organs of the human body. Researchers have found a network of fluid cells completely surrounded by the connective tissues which fills the space between human body organs. Let’s know more about the Interstitium:

Interstitium, the newly discovered organ is found beneath the top skin layer, also in the tissue layer, blood vessels, lungs, muscles, stomach, colon, oesophagus, small intestine, urinary bladder, arteries, and veins.
