The largest entrepreneurship summit in Central India, i5 Summit 2018, is to be held by IIM Indore and IIT Indore on 18th and 19th August, 2018 at IIM Indore. As a result of this unique collaboration, budding entrepreneurs get to interact with the start-up fraternity and industry experts through panel discussions, speaker series, informal meets and certified workshops. The most eagerly awaited events in the summit are Get Funded, Social Entrepreneur and Startup Expo. In Get Funded and Social Entrepreneur, shortlisted startups pitch their business idea to investors and obtain funding offers, while in Startup Expo entrepreneurs from all over India get to showcase their brand.

In the past, the summit has hosted industry stalwarts such as Mr. Bibop Gresta (Chairman of Hyperloop), Mr. Mohandas Pai (Ex-CFO of Infosys), Mr. Sharad Sharma (Founder of iSPIRT), Ronnie Screwvala (Founder of UTV) and Mr. Venktesh Shukla (Ex-Chair of TiE Global).

This year, distinguished speakers such as Dr. B.R. Shetty, Padmashree (Founder and CEO, UAE Exchange), Mr. Saugata Gupta (CEO and MD, Marico), Mr. K Vaitheeswaran (MD and CEO, Manipal Education), Mr. Tej Kapoor (MD and Head, Fosun RZ Capital India), Dr. Akhil Prasad (Director and Company Secretary, Boeing India), Mr. Hitesh Dhingra (Founder and MD, The Man Company; Co-Founder and CBO, TrulyMadly), Mr. Amitabh Sinha (ah! Ventures), Mr. Sandeep Aggarwal (Founder and CEO, Droom), Mr. Dharmil Sheth (Co-Founder, Pharmeasy), Mr. Sandro Stephen (Indian Angel Network) and Mr. S. Vaitheeswaran (Father of E-Commerce in India; Co-Founder, Fabmart, Indiaplaza) will be hosted.

The Summit’s flagship event GetFunded promises to be bigger and better than the last. Earlier, startups had raised INR 23 million in funding, and the winning startups have gone on to scale greater heights- from being featured on The Vault (Med Monks) to being incubated by Reliance GenNext (Drona Maps) to making it to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list (Gaurav Agarwal, CEO of Gamezop). The Summit aims to provide these opportunities to ideate, innovate, inspire, induce and invest in ideas to take them to the next level.
