Zebpay Announces Bitcoin India Alliance

Zebpay, India’s first and world’s simplest mobile Bitcoin Wallet has announced the launch of Bitcoin India Alliance, an alliance of all Bitcoin companies in India. The alliance will work to spread Bitcoin awareness and adoption in India. It will also be the body to represent Indian Bitcoin industry to government and other associations.
This was a first of its kind meet with an audience of over 400 people comprising Top Industry leaders of Ahmedabad, FICCI, Senior chamber members and Top Business School students. The event's purpose was to educate and spread awareness of bitcoins among industrialists, techies, students and general public. The event was sponsored and attended by all leading Indian bitcoin companies like iGot, CoinSecure, CoinTelegraph India and Blockstreet.

L’Oréal Announces Research With InStem, Bangalore
The Institute of Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine (inStem) and L’Oréal have entered into a collaborative agreement for the next three years to initiate research on different aspects of skin biology. The research agreement was signed by Prof. Satyajit Mayor, Director inStem and Francois Pradier, Director Research & Innovation at L’Oréal India.

The collaborative research program between L’Oréal and the Centre for Inflammation and Tissue Homeostasis (CITH) at inStem will focus on exploration of biological mechanisms that influence skin-aging. A major objective of this collaboration would be to study the molecular mechanisms and signaling pathways involved in the cell biology of skin homeostasis. L’Oréal will share its active ingredients for evaluation and validation of these concepts.

“Our interdisciplinary team at inStem is enthusiastic to partner with L’Oréal R&I to pursue shared research interests. Our emphasis on understanding basic biological principles synergizes well with the translational focus of L’Oréal and together we expect this collaboration will advance our understanding of skin biology, and may also lead to new ideas for skin and hair care," said Dr. Colin Jamora, Coordinator, Center for Inflammation and Tissue Homeostasis, inStem.

Havas Media Group Wins Digital Mandate
Havas Media Group India has started 2015 on a very positive note. They have won the Digital Media Mandate of Caterpillar India post a multi-agency pitch which included leading digital agencies.This is the second digital win of the year after Ranbaxy and further strengthens Havas Media Group's presence in Bangalore.

TCS Launches Smartphone App
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a leading global IT services, consulting and business solutions organisation, on Thursday (26 March) launched ElectUK, a smartphone application that allows users to track, analyse and visualise Twitter conversations about the 2015 UK General Election.
ElectUK has been created to engage voters, their representatives and political commentators by turning their smartphone into a Big Data social media analytics tool. The app is free to download and is available on both iOS and Android devices.
ElectUK uses data taken directly from Twitter and analyses millions of tweets about, and from, the political parties, candidates and the electorate in the 2015 UK General Election. This data is run through TCS’ PeriVistaTM Big Data analytics software and delivered to the application as a range of share-able graphics. The app is based on a database of more than two thousand parliamentary candidates, allowing users to compare sentiment and trends, including the issues of highest importance in the debate.

Shiv Nadar University Organizes Conference
Shiv Nadar University (SNU) on Thursday announced that they have organized a conference titled ‘The future of liberal arts and science education in India 2015’ on March 21, 2015. The conference was aimed to discuss the future of liberal arts in India. The conference brought together Vice Chancellors and professors of higher education institutions across India, along with representatives/ professors from Carlton University, University of Chicago, Pomona College/Yale-NUS College, California Institute of Technology and Claremont McKenna College respectively.
