YES Bank's Digital Diya Campaign Spreads Digital Financial Literacy

YES Bank launches the Digital Diya initiative to impart financial literacy to 50 villages by illuminating the lives of people in rural India

MUMBAI, October 25, 2017: The 'Digital Diya' initiative of YES Bank targeted the Indian community to come together and celebrate the Diwali festival by lighting the diya of prosperity, knowledge, and happiness. YES BANK’s initiative aimed at imparting financial literacy to 50 villages by illuminating the lives of people in rural India.

YES Bank has launched a website ( where every visit to the microsite by a user lit up a digital diya. For every digital diya lit by visiting the digital diya website, the bank added an equal amount of funds towards spreading Digital Financial literacy. The bank measured the success of the ‘Digital Diya’ campaign by the number of diyas lit on the website. By promoting the campaign through rigorous offline and online promotions, the bank managed to light up more than one million diyas.
