The Xynteo Exchange India2022 with an urge to bring new growth strategies to the country gather industry stalwarts to drive the initiative ahead. More than 300 leaders from business and government bodies elaborate solutions to achieve India’s strategic priorities. Accelerating and scaling sustainable solutions like renewable energy, low cost but good quality healthcare services, sustainable mining and plastic utilization are the solutions that the exchange delved into.
While sharing his views on the consensus Sanjiv Mehta, Chairman and MD, Hindustan Unilever and Chair of the India2022 Executive Committee said, “we set up this coalition 1 and a half years ago. It was a stage where the decision was to bring our resources to solve the problems affecting the environment. Renewable energy, low-cost healthcare, sustainable mining and recycling of plastics and many more. Our principle is to encourage innovation and bring together collective & similar mindsets along with a fresh lens. At its nascent stage, the Xynteo Exchange is working on pilot projects and will later scale it”.
Following the success of 16 seeded projects last year including Plastic Safari and MedtechConnect, this year’s focus inclines towards scaling collaborative, sustainable and commercial solutions. The macro scale challenges that need the attention include: Accelerate penetration of clean energy solutions; establish working models of circularity, in particular, plastic waste; deliver high quality and accessible diagnostic healthcare; adopt best in class sustainable mining practices.
“India as a nation has vast potential to accelerate a new type of growth – inclusive, sustainable and for long-term. To achieve this we need stronger collaboration between public, private, Indian and international organisations. The India 2022 coalition and the hundreds of leaders joining us at this year’s Xynteo Exchange/India2022 illustrate a collective will to take action. Together, we’re accelerating our efforts to deliver real progress in India – when we win in India, we will win in the world”, said Osvald Bjelland, Chairman, Xynteo during the launch.
Among Sanjiv Mehta and Oswald Bjelland there were more business tycoons including Deepak Natarajan, CFO, Baker Hughes – a GE company, Satish Pai, MD, Hindalco – an Aditya Birla Group company, Hary Brekelmans, Projects and Technology Director & Member of the Executive Committee, Royal Dutch Shell and Thierry Pilenko, Executive Chairman, TechnipFMC.
