As a small boy, we couldn't afford taking the auto rickshaw and I used to wonder why some people could afford big cars, houses and holidays to exotic destinations while others struggled financially?

Over the years, my own personal experiences and research has led me to an answer that there is one skill that can help anyone get rich. I have met people who have become millionaires and billionaires in a short period of time by harnessing the power of this skill.

Most of them came from challenging backgrounds; many of them have been high school dropouts and yet because of this one skill were able to create immense wealth and get rich.

Do you know what this skill is?

It is a skill anyone can develop. It is a skill that doesn't differentiate or discriminate on the basis of age, religion, sex, country or educational background. It is a skill that you can work on right now and see immediate results if you take action.

Were you able to guess what this skill is?

It is a skill that is always in demand, irrespective of whether the economy is up or down. In fact when the economy is down, this skill is even more needed. It is the ability and the skill to Sell.

In today's world nothing beats the ability to sell. If you know how to sell and you are great at it - you will get rich and can achieve anything you desire. In fact, it is hard NOT to get rich if you are great at sales.

The world's richest people have are people who have mastered this powerful skill. Whether you take Steve Jobs, Bill Gates or Dhirubhai Ambani, or you take anyone on the billionaire list - they all knew how to sell. They knew how to sell their ideas and hire people who can further promote their vision.

Throughout history, people who knew how to sell and influence others with their ideas and thoughts succeeded. Edison for example was a master of sales and marketing. Many believed that Nikola Tesla was a better scientist than Edison, but in the end he died in poverty. This is because Tesla hadn't mastered the art of selling, while Edison on the other hand went on to become one of the richest people in history because of his sales and PR skills.

In today's world more and more functions will start getting automated. IT and Tech companies have been firing hundreds of thousands of employees, because their jobs are now being replaced by robots and automation. It is the same in the manufacturing sector. Soon hospitals and doctors will also see a trend towards automation.

In such a world - one skill will continue to be in high demand and that is the skill to sell.

Anyone who masters the selling skill can change their life by bringing results. I personally was able to experience massive changes in my life once I started selling at the age of 5.

Today my books, seminars, articles and videos are able to reach millions of people only because of my passion and desire to sell and impact more people. I am not ashamed of my ability to sell; in fact I'm very proud of it.

I wish schools, colleges and society started respecting this powerful skill and teaching it to the masses. Till that happens, the odds will be massively in the favor of those who are masters of selling.

Which side do you want to be on? The ones who sell or the ones who are sold to?
