Communication is fast changing, and with images instead of letters. These days emojis are common and used constantly on social media networking site to express emotion and tell stories with an emotion. A tweet or message with an emoji fills depth into it.

Let's celebrate third World Emoji Day, created by Emojipedia founder Jeremy Burge in 2014, on 17 July with hashtag #WorldEmojiDay on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook.

Twitter has created a custom emoji to celebrate the beloved emoji's birthday. Simply Tweet with #WorldEmojiDay all weekend to activate the custom Twitter emoji.

Why 17 July?

July 17 is famously displayed on the iOS Calendar Emoji, which makes it the perfect date for World Emoji Day.
