Even as India grapples with a shortage in the availability of the Covid-19 vaccines, post Covid complications have surfaced, where too the country seems to be running out of the prescribed medication. The only silver lining to this very dark, large and looming cloud, is the dip in the number of new infections. We know what is being said, but what are we effectively doing on the ground to rid the country of this Black Swan?
Over the year gone by, BW Businessworld has tracked and reported on many aspects of this mega health crisis. We have analysed where we stand in terms of the health infrastructure, the manpower available and the initiatives the government has taken to tackle this crisis. In the issue you hold in your hands, we delve deep into the allocation and distribution of vaccines across the states. We also draw attention to the Centre-state divide on vaccine allocation. We capture the voices of leaders in the healthcare sector in an attempt to gauge how we are dealing with this deadly virus, the challenges in management, its impact on the country and the outlook for the foreseeable future. In a special segment, practising doctors working on the ground, share their views too.
