When it comes to smart mobility, self-driving cars cannot be ignored. Tata Motors, as of now, has not brought any such vehicles in India. However, testing of the company’s autonomous and connected cars are happening globally.
In November 2017, Tata Motors owned Jaguar Land Rover took part in the UK’s first road tests for autonomous and connected vehicles. Jaguar Land Rover tested a range of research technologies that will allow cars to talk to each other as well as roadside infrastructure, such as traffic lights on the roads of Coventry. Even self driving Tata Hexa was also tested during the trial run.
