Tata Teleservices, one of leading players in the enterprise space, underscored digital disruption as the key discussion point at its annual multi-city industry confluence "Do Big Symposium" in Mumbai.

With more than 200 participants, consisting of CEOs, industry experts, entrepreneurs and CIOs, Tata Docomo led the discussion around the technologies powering digital disruption, such as - Internet of Things, Location Based Services, M2M solutions, Mobile Device Management and many more.

Industry stalwarts Dr Gopichand Katragadda, Group Chief Technology Officer, Tata Sons; Umesh Revankar, MD, Shriram Transport Finance Co; Rachna Nath, Partner & Head Digital Advisory, KPMG; Ameera Shah, MD Promoter & CEO, Metropolis Healthcare; and N Srinath, MD, Tata Teleservices, participated and discussed business transformations through digital technology.

"Democratization of digital technology has disrupted the industry and has supported the rise of a sharing economy. The diminishing gap between scientific discovery and technology conversion further drives a rapid industrial pace," Katragadda said.

Srinath, managing director of Tata Teleservices, said digital disruption is the key to business transformation.

"New age technologies are changing things faster than ever before and one of the key challenges facing business owners is how to stay relevant. We are witnessing technologies fuelling not just the reinvention of operating models, but in some cases the very business model," he said.

The symposium highlighted the evolution of digital and its impact on businesses across the globe.
