Tata Docomo Launches 'Anytime, Anywhere' Connectivity

Tata Docomo, the unified telecom brand of Tata Teleservices, has launched its new TVC showcasing the ‘anytime-anywhere’ connectivity potential of its Photon Max Wi-Fi device. The central message of the advertisement is to tell the customer ‘If you have an electric socket, you can have internet anywhere’. Tata Docomo Photon through this quirky television spot focuses on the ease getting high speed internet at the click of a button (in this case any power socket!). Along with the stress on usage, the TVC also showcases that the product can also be purchased online through the e-shop ( where the product is delivered at the doorstep and activated for the user within 48 hours.

Creating Wi-Fi hotspots is easier than ever before through the Photon Max Wi-Fi device; one just has to plug it in a power socket and enjoy seamless internet experience connecting upto 5 devices. The device is powered by Qualcomm Gobi with Dual processor technology, offering download speeds of up to 9.8 mbps, ensuring faster and reliable connectivity. This device has further reinforced Photon’s position as a true pioneer in the ‘internet on-the-go’ market targeting the new age internet consumer.

Industry Clamors For FDI In Retail E-commerce To Achieve Targeted $70 Bn Growth
A roundtable discussion on allowing FDI in the retail e-commerce, specifically in the B2C segment, was held on 28th May in New Delhi. The roundtable saw the presence of representatives from the various e-commerce companies such as,,, apart from Kiran Karnik, Chairman, CII National Committee on Broadband & Telecom, R. Chandrashekhar, President, NASSCOM,  Arvind Gupta, Head-IT Cell, BJP and Bhaskar Pramanik, Chairman, Microsoft India.

The forum highlighted some key issues related to the Indian e-commerce industry, particularly the current policy that disallows FDI in inventory-based B2C e-commerce, thereby creating a regressive environment for the industry to grow. The Indian e-commerce industry is slated to grow to a $70 billion industry by the year 2020 and in order to achieve the target, it is essential to remove the anomalies being faced by the sector currently.

The roundtable discussion was organised by the CyberMedia Group, moderated by Pradeep Gupta, CMD, CyberMedia.

Young women who have passed their Class XII exams from Delhi/ NCR, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, in the current academic year (ended March 2014), with a minimum of 85 per cent in PCM/PCB and not over 19 years of age on 31.05.2014 are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
