Sukhjinder Randhawa Set To Become The Next Chief Minister of Punjab

After discussion with the Punjab MLAs, AICC has proposed the name of Sukhjinder Randhawa for the post of CM.

Sukhjinder Randhawa is set to become the new Punjab Chief Minister. A three-time MLA, Randhawa, 62, is the Jails and Co-operation Minister in the outgoing cabinet and is from Gurdaspur district. He also served as Vice President of the party's state unit and his father, Santokh Singh, was a two-time President.

After discussion with the Punjab MLAs, AICC has proposed the name of Sukhjinder Randhawa for the post of CM.

Besides Navjot Singh Sidhu, among the names doing the rounds as Amarinder Singh’s replacement included former PCC chiefs Sunil Jakhar and Pratap Bajwa and state ministers Sukhjinder Randhawa, Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria and Tript Rajinder Bajwa.
