Sugar slips on subdued demand

Mumbai, Nov 22 (PTI) Both varieties of sugar slipped at the Vashi wholesale market here today following subdued demand from stockists and bulk consumers.

Small sugar (S-30) dropped by Rs 8/42 per quintal to Rs 3,542/3,640 from Tuesday's close Rs 3,550/3,682.

Medium sugar (M-30) fell by Rs 70/20 per quintal to Rs 3,612/3,852 as against Rs 3,682/3,832 yesterday.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,542/3,640 (Rs 3,550/3,682).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,612/3,852 (Rs 3,682/3,832). PTI BPD ADI
