Sugar eases on lower demand

Mumbai, Jun 14 (PTI) Prices of both the varieties of sugar eased at the Vashi wholesale market here today on lower demand from stockists and bulk consumers.

Small sugar (S-30) slid by Rs 25 per quintal to Rs 3,150/3,301 from Wednesday's close at Rs 3,175/3,301.

Medium sugar (M-30) also moved down by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 3,260/3,460 as compared to Rs 3,260/3,470.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,150/3,301 (Rs 3,175/3,301).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,260/3,460 (Rs 3,260/3,470). PTI BPD SHW SBT
