Sony Launches Portable Speakers In SRS Series

Taking forward its promise of delivering ground breaking and exciting entertainment, Sony India on Wednesday (06 May) launched the all new portable bluetooth speaker- SRS-X11 and SRS-X55. These sleek and trendy speakers make it easier than ever for the music lover to conveniently listen to and share their favourite tracks in great sound quality. In their compact designs and a variety of colours, the two new bluetooth speaker, SRS-X11and SRS-X55,combine powerful sound quality with Bluetooth and NFC,enabling users to instantly connect their smart device and stream music wherever they are. These stylishly designed speakers can be even used as speaker phones to conveniently answer calls, all while enjoying favourite tracks.

Use the Speaker Add function to connect two SRS-X11 units together to either create twice the sound power in Double mode, or split the sound signal to enjoy real stereo sound in Stereo mode.

Card Shape Power Bank By Essot
Essot, a leading retail chain that deals in mobile and computer accessories has launched its cutting-edge Credit Card Shape Power Bank PwerHorsez2600C. Its ultra slim and compact design coupled with its light weight makes it easy to use and carry, making it a perfect fit for any wallet.

The portable device is 6.75mm thin and the petite body encases a 2,600 mAh battery that holds the capacity of completing a full cycle charge of most smartphones. It also comes with an LED indicator that indicates the charge left in the device. HUL To Counter India's Water Challenges
2030 Water Resources Group (2030 WRG) and Hindustan Unilever Foundation (HUF) have partnered to develop innovative, large-scale solutions for India's water challenges. The solutions will focus on technology, finance, knowledge, and results-based implementation and will target the agriculture sector, which uses around 80 per cent of the country's water resources. It will impact one million farmers and save up to four trillion liters of water.

Speaking at the Alliance for Thought Leadership and Action for Agri-Water workshop to launch the partnership on May 5, 2015, Sanjiv Mehta, CEO and MD, Hindustan Unilever Limited said, "The partnership coordinated by 2030 WRG aspires to create one of the largest participatory programs globally on demand-side management of water in the agriculture sector. A key focus is scientific and impact-driven action through a results measurement framework at the state level to measure water savings and agricultural productivity enhancement."

Rackspace Launches New Service With Akamai
Rackspace, the managed cloud company; on Wednesday (06 May) announced the launch of Rackspace Content Delivery Network (CDN).  This new service is powered by Akamai Technologies, the global leader in CDN services. With the launch of the Rackspace CDN offering, Rackspace and Akamai are expanding their long-standing relationship to offer customers integrated, “one-click” access to Akamai’s industry-leading CDN services via the Rackspace portal. Rackspace CDN will help customers more easily and efficiently deliver entire websites or web applications with global scale and reliability through on-demand access to the Akamai Intelligent Platform.

“The integration of Akamai’s CDN into our cloud platform allows us to create an on demand, utility-based, content delivery solution, which expands the Rackspace managed cloud portfolio,” said Steve Crusenberry, senior vice president, infrastructure at Rackspace.

Delhivery Raises Series D Funding
Delhivery, India’s leading e-commerce fulfilment company, has announced that it has raised a Series D round of investment of ~$85M led by Tiger Global Management with participation from existing investors, Multiples Alternate Asset Management, Nexus Venture Partners, and Times Internet Limited. This is the company’s fourth round of financing coming less than 8 months after its Series C round which was led by Multiples Alternate Asset Management in September 2014.

Remedinet Technologies Launches App on Windows 8.1
Remedinet Technologies, India’s first end-to-end electronic cashless claims exchange for health insurance, has launched two mobile apps on Windows 8.1 and Android platforms with Microsoft Visual Studio, for making information on the status of cashless health insurances claims easily available to patients and hospitals. Insurance desks and resources working out of hospitals can download Remedinet - Hospital mobile app to access information regarding claims adjudication while patients can download Remedinet Consumer app to check the status of their claims.
