Small sugar recovers on fresh demand

Mumbai, Mar 30 (PTI) Small sugar recovered at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to fresh demand from stockists and bulk consumers.

While, medium sugar dropped following lower demand from stockists and retailers.

Small sugar (S-30) rose by Rs 18 per quintal to Rs 3,040/3,142 from its Wednesday's close at Rs 3,022/3,142.

However, medium sugar (M-30) went down by Rs 12/42 per quintal to Rs 3,120/3,290 as against Rs 3,132/3,332.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,040/3,142 (Rs 3,022/3,142).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,120/3,290 (Rs 3,132/3,332). PTI RD SBT
