Six Ways To Start Your Day At Work For Maximum Productivity
Given below are the ways get motivated at workplace and make a habit of following anything continually that helps to be more productive and drives to achieve our daily progress

A wise man once said, "Success is blocked by concentrating on it and planning for it. Success is shy-it won't come out while you're watching." It all depends on how you contribute and where you contribute . . . success does not mean spending time at work, coming back and getting salary on time . . . rather it means achieving your goals, whatever they are. People are driven by success, they yearn for it, they dream about it, they imagine it, yet many fail to get close to it. What do successful people do that others don't? We tried a lot of things amongst ourselves to increase our productivity-by reading a lot of books, talking to productive people, taking tips from our successful mentors and yet we failed a lot of times initially to meet deadlines, achieve our goals, and increase our efficiency. But the positive aspect of it was that we never gave up, we tried, we failed, we got back up and we tried again. All of us are different and it isn't necessary that what works for one will work for the other, eventually things started to fall in place and we all found out how to kickstart our day for maximum productivity.
Obviously, it is not email, at least not for us. When we begin our day by reading and responding to emails, we are letting others decide how we are going to spend our day at work, instead of being proactive, email makes us reactive. Starting the day well is the first step that needs to be taken to be successful and here are some of the ways to be implement at work
1. Giving CNS that extra push: "Lethargy is an enemy. First thing I do as soon as I enter office is go get my coffee shot. While I get my coffee and come back, I try to break the ice with as many people I come cross, exchange positive thoughts, and sometimes give compliments so that they feel special and start their day on a positive note. Seeing them smile makes me happy and preps me to begin planning my day," says Sakshi Singh, HR. "Has to be Coffee and Eminem. Yep. A cup of smooth & creamy coffee along with an Eminem track (or two, or maybe five) does the trick. I get into my groove and then head to have a quick meet with my boss who gives immediate reviews for my pending tasks which makes me determined to complete them on time," adds Ishaan Francis, Sales.
2. Wearing confidence up with style: "I keep aside 15 mins just to dress up. The last thing I want to do is put on anything out of my laundry pile in haste, so I decide what to wear according to my tasks planned for the day," says Nikita Mantri, Marketing. "Nothing charges me up more than a crisp white shirt along with ironed trousers and groomed hair. Doing so helps me plan my tasks easily and prepares me for the meetings scheduled for the day," EVP Sales, Daljeet Mehta, ShepHertz, is quick to add.
3. Organising workspace is the first step: "Each item on my desk represents something that I am working on or something that is dear to me. As soon as I get seated, I arrange and rearrange my workspace, doing so gives me the idea of how to sort of my pending tasks and how I can complete them on time," says Sachin Grover, Product Team. "My office bag is full of essentials that I carry all the time to work and while I take everything out one by one, I am automatically reminded of the relevance and feel motivated enough to roll out all my energy to achieving my daily goals," Sushil Bhadouria, EVP R&D & Innovation, ShepHertz, shares his daily success mantra.
4. Owning Emails and not letting them dictate the day: "My work requires a lot of management via emails. The first thing I do upon reaching office is opening my outlook while it is synchronizing emails, I do a bit of stretching and take deep breaths. I don't instantly open all my emails-I do a quick eye scan of the important ones, flag them and move on to important tasks first," says Varadh Anand, Sales. "I get a lot of emails, literally, including quite a few alerts and monitoring alarms-so if I sit down to manage my emails first thing in the morning, I instantly get stressed. The rules in my outlook arrange my emails and before I do anything else, I use my whiteboard to plan my entire day which includes assistance and reviews that my team requires," Naveen Goswami, EVP PaaS at ShepHertz, on how he gets on top of plethora of emails that he gets.
5. Smiling and slowing down for the greater good: "Your first hour at work sets your 'attitude barometer' for the rest of the day, so starting your day with a smile will cost nothing, I guess. And that's exactly my way of starting it-along with setting up some tunes, throw on my headphones and making myself comfortable in my chair," says the every chirpy Komal Sharma, Product Team. "That's exactly what I follow. The very first thing I do-even before I power on my laptop-is enjoying a cup of coffee while reviewing my to-do list, which I make before going to bed every night and looking outside my window with a happy smile. This helps me get pumped and organized to take on the day," concurs Rohit Khanduri, Product Team.
6. Team Huddling: "I feel pretty excited in the morning when I reach office just because I would get to speak up in our team huddle. Mentioning completed tasks and getting more work from my team leader is a perfect way for me to feel motivated throughout the day and I feel determined to meet deadlines so that I don't end up being embarrassed for not completing my daily tasks," says the energetic Himanish Setia, Product Team. "It is difficult to manage and execute a lot of ongoing tasks on daily basis and we have tried a lot of tools and methods, but team huddle beats them all. We have a fix time every morning when we gather together to discuss all the tasks, deadlines, dependencies, status, and reviews. It does not take more than 15 minutes, but the impact is relatively huge as everybody feels on the same page and works in tandem to produce great results," adds Rajeev Ranjan, Customer Success Team.
