Sidhu To Meet Channi Today To Sort Out Differences, Amid Political Crisis

Sidhu has resigned from the post of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee Chief, on Tuesday, amid constant tiff with Captain Amarinder Singh.

A day after former Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Captain Amrinder Singh met BJP stronghold, and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, now Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu, will meet CM Charanjit Singh Channi, on Thursday, 

Sidhu took to his social media handle (Twitter) and wrote, "The Chief Minister has invited me for talks, will reciprocate by reaching Punjab Bhawan, Chandigarh at 3:00 PM today, he is welcome for any discussions." 

Sidhu has resigned from the post of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee Chief, on Tuesday, amid constant tiff with Captain Amarinder Singh. 

Sidhu in his resignation letter wrote, "The collapse of a man's character stems from the compromise corner. I can never compromise on Punjab's future and the agenda for the welfare of Punjab. Therefore, I hereby resign as the President of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee. I will continue to serve the Congress." 

Meanwhile, Singh after his meeting with Amit Shah, tweeted, "Met Union Home Minister Amit Shah ji in Delhi. Discussed the prolonged farmer's agitation against Farm Laws and urged him to resolve the crisis urgently with the repeal of the laws and guarantee MSP, besides supporting Punjab in crop diversification."
