Select base metals decline on sluggish demand

Mumbai, Mar 19 (PTI) Select base metals, including copper, brass sheet cuttings, zinc, tin and nickel, declined at the non-ferrous metal market today on selling by stockists amid sluggish demand from industrial users.

Nickel dropped by Rs 10 per kg to Rs 915 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 925 and tin moved down by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,430 as against Rs 1,435.

Copper scrap heavy and copper utensils eased by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 447 and Rs 415 as compare Rs 450 and Rs 418, respectively.

Copper cable scrap, copper billets and brass sheet cuttings edged down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 453, Rs 481 and Rs 350 from Rs 455, Rs 483 and Rs 352, respectively.

Copper armature, copper sheet cuttings and zinc softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 441, Rs 437 and Rs 239, respectively. PTI BPD BAL BAL
