Samsung had a very successful stint this year with its Galaxy Note 8 and S8 smartphones. With the success of these smartphones, Samsung has moved ahead from the Note 7 fiasco. Now that Samsung has launched their flagship devices, year 2017 will end as a great year for Samsung.

If you are still thinking how good Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and S8 are, then move forward. Samsung is planning to showcase the next-gen Galaxy S smartphones a bit earlier than expected.  According to several reports, Samsung Galaxy S9, S9+ will be unveiled at Samsung’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas during January 2018.

After making first public appearance in January, the smartphones will be formally launched in March 2018 just like this year.

According to reports, Samsung Galaxy S9, S9+ will likely be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and some models will have Samsung’s recently launched 10nm Exynos 9810 chipset.

Both models will feature the same design like S8, S8+ with 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch super AMOLED Infinity display. The major improvement in S9+ will be the inclusion of dual rear cameras similar to Galaxy Note 8. Also, it will have 6GB RAM instead of 4GB. Both models will have 64GB storage on board which can be expanded through a MicroSD card.

Luckily, Samsung is not ditching the 3.5-mm headphone jack in their flagship devices, which every major smartphone company is doing now. The company will also change the location of fingerprint sensor which users complained about.
