In line with its mission of imparting training for Indian Armed Forces examinations to aspirants, Centurion Defence Academy, the defence wing of Centurion Education today opened up the registration for Shishir Rameshwaram National Talent Hunt (SRNTH) 2020. SRNTH is a national level scholarship program designed to seek best candidates across India who have the potential to be Defence personnel. It is an opportune moment, a golden chance to explore your hidden potential and let luck play its part.
The last date to apply for this scholarship exam is 18 December 2019.
The idea behind conducting SRNTH is to address the budget constraints that most aspirants in India face at present – thus facilitating the selected candidates with monetary aid in the form of scholarships and cash rewards, blended with academic guidance.
The exam is scheduled to be conducted in 15 states for the ease and comfort of applicants. Add to that, considering, supporting and understanding the efforts of Government to motivate youngsters of Jammu & Kashmir to join Indian Armed Forces, one of the exam centres has been allocated to J&K as well.
The first and foremost eligibility criteria for SRNTH is to be a citizen of India, pursuing class 10th, 11th, 12th or Graduation from any board or subject stream, respectively. Interested candidates can register themselves by visiting the website by paying a registration fee of Rs 100. Once registered, the candidates will receive the admit card within two weeks on the website.
It will be a general skill exam comprising 100 questions, each carrying 4 marks, based on four subjects – Mathematics, General Knowledge, English and Mental Aptitude.
While the top 10 students, under the category Alpha, will receive 100 per cent waiver on the registration fee, tuition fee and study material, the next 20 students, under the category Bravo, will receive 90 per cent waiver on tuition fee and 100 per cent waiver on the study material. Centurion Academy will also offer scholarships under 10 other categories, providing waivers of up to 80 per cent on the tuition fee.
Students ranking first will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 20,000, followed by 2nd and 3rd rankers who will receive Rs 10,000 and Rs 6,000, respectively. The rest, up to 10th rank will receive a cash prize of Rs 2000. The scholarship amount can be availed only up to 31 December 2020 and not beyond that.
An air veteran, prodigious SSB expert and founder-director of Centurion Defence Academy, Shishir Dixit, stated, “A large number of aspirants in India sacrifice their desires to be defence personnel while many fail to qualify exams associated with the Indian Defence Forces due to lack of financial aid and academic guidance. In a bid to address this challenge, we, at Centurion Defence Academy have designed SRNTH, where students get the opportunity to enhance their skill-sets by going through well-researched training sessions and have access to facilities such as published study materials, hostel with mess and library. The mentors at our academy conduct a series of weekly mock tests, SSB training, interview by an elite panel and personality development sessions, all aimed at shaping up aspirants and making them ready to crack Defence exam in their first attempt and hence serve their nation in Officer cadre.” It is this noble thought of Shishir Dixit that resulted in making SRNTH a reality.
Working for the past 11 years, Centurion Defence Academy has inspired and trained Indian youth to be a part of Indian Defence Forces and raise its honour. To date, the institute has successfully created thousands of Officers in this field and maintains a good track record. Known for its highest selection rate, Centurion Defence Academy has turned out to be the leading institute for Indian Armed Forces exam preparation.
