Retirement is often deemed as the 'golden' period in an individual's life. It's considered as the time to let go of the hurried pace of youthful days to leisurely pursue activities that one can enjoy. With the idea of breaking through these stereotypes, Seniority Ltd, an RPG Group Company collaborates with Humans of Bombay in a first of its kind initiative - 'Jazba 2018' - to bring out 12 inspiring stories of individuals who have redefined the term 'retirement'.

'Jazba 2018' aims to inspire people from all walks of life to not give in to the conventional belief system of playing out one's last innings; rather they take to their passion after entering the retirement age. Starting from the story of a humble retired army officer, who is still serving his nation by solving water crisis in his own city, a lady who at the age of 66 lives her passion for travel every day and takes fellow travellers with her, an entrepreneur who at 63 years of age used his life savings and risked it all to build his dream restaurant, and many more of such gems. These are the bold stories that remind a person that life doesn't stop at the age of 60.

The initiative has been launched in the form of a Calendar and a Diary for 2018 which will be available for sale online on and the proceeds from both will be contributed towards the International Longevity Centre (ILC), which is affiliated with the United Nations International Agency for Ageing.

Commenting on the collaboration, Ayush Agrawal, Co-founder, Seniority said, "As a young brand, we are always looking at refreshing conversations around senior citizens through innovative initiatives. With the pursuit of passion in mind and the thought of bringing out relatable stories, Humans of Bombay played perfect partners. I believe that the initiative truly captures the essence of what Seniority stands for: Living evergreen."

"It's been an absolute pleasure to work on this collaboration with Seniority in the senior citizen space. The passion and zest the people we've interviewed is a paramount message for every generation - to keep the fire going and that's something I've definitely learnt through this collaboration. We're all very excited to release this series of endearing stories," said Karishma Mehta, Founder, Humans of Bombay.

When talking about ILC's role and what they hope to achieve by raising these funds, Mrs Anjali Raje, Executive Director, ILC said, "Seniority is doing a commendable job by advocating the cause of population ageing through innovative means. We are glad to be associated with a commercial set up that has a humane approach in its work ethic. We will use the proceeds towards our ValuEducation program which engages seniors with children from underprivileged schools." One can choose to begin their New Year 2018 by purchasing these on - It also makes for a perfect gift for your loved ones.
