Piyush Goyal Inaugurates India Pavilion At Dubai Expo 2020

Across the 6 months Period, Vedanta will be showcasing the vision for a self-Reliance, abundant natural resources of India, and contributing to India’s economic transformation under the vision of the Prime Minister with the nation set to grow to a US$ 5 trillion economy by 2025 from the current US$2.6 trillion, reaching to US$ 10 trillion by 2030.

The Grand India Pavilion at the Dubai Expo 2020 was inaugurated by Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal on Friday, in the presence of dignitaries as Vedanta Chairman Anil Agarwal, Pavan Kapoor, Ambassador of India to UAE, Laxmi Mittal, Chairman, ArcelorMittal amongst others. 

Piyush Goyal said, “UAE and India have shared interest and we complement each other. UAE investors and its leaders are very positive about doing business and expanding trade with India. Both countries have demonstrated the highest level of friendship during the COVID-19 pandemic. "We have supported the UAE, wherever we could. They have supported India. This is what I call brotherhood, which will be remembered for many years."

Anil Agarwal said, “My message is ‘Invest in India’. The time is now. In the next 25 years, India will be the growth engine of the global economy, like China was in previous decades. Not only is India a large market, but it also has tremendous human resource capital. Prime Minister Modi’s vision of self-reliance with strong reforms in place, charts a clear growth path for India’s opportunity. UAE and India share a rich cultural and business heritage. Both countries have a lot to share and offer each other. A strong partnership will bring new vigour in making Asia a global business hub and lead the world economy in the 21st century.”
