Opto Circuits (India): The Safety Monitor

Any stockbroker's two favourite safe sectors are FMCG and pharmaceuticals. Piggybacking on the growth in the healthcare sector is medical devices and equipment company Opto Circuits India. In a 10-year period, the stock returned almost a 100 times (98.4 times to be exact) its adjusted 2003 price; the benchmark BSE 500 returned 5.3 times. The reasons are not hard to find. It sells in a 100 countries, has grown through overseas acquisitions and pays dividend: all good for an investor's heart.
