The Chinese smartphone brand OnePlus has launched the new variant of their flagship in India- OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition. The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition gets Papaya Orange colour around the bottom edge of the device along with McLaren logo at the rear bottom. It also features a carbon fiber pattern under its rear glass body. The new Warp Charge cable has an orange colour instead of OnePlus’ standard red charging cable and the adapter comes in black colour instead of white.
The new Warp Charge tech with 30W adapter is touted to be faster than OnePlus’ Fast charging. OnePlus claims that the new handset can deliver a full day’s backup with just 20 minutes of charging.
OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition price in India is Rs 50,999, the handset will be available for buyers starting from 13 December via Amazon.in.
OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition Specifications
The new OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition runs on OxygenOS based on Android 9.0 Pie. Similar to the standard OnePlus 6T (Review), this handset also gets a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor coupled with Adreno 630 GPU and massive 10GB of RAM. It has 256GB internal storage without an option of expandable storage.
OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition sports a dual rear camera setup which includes 16-MP primary sensor (f/1.7 aperture, OIS+EIS, PDAF, 1.22 µm pixel size) and 20-MP secondary sensor (f/1.7 aperture, PDAF, 1.0 µm pixel size) with AI scene detection, Portrait mode, HDR, and Studio Lighting. On the front, there is a 16-MP camera with f/2.0 aperture, EIS, Portrait mode, screen flash, studio lighting, and HDR.
The new OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition has the same 3,700mAh battery but it comes with the latest Warp 30 tech which is touted to charge the phone up to 50 percent within 20 minutes of charging. According to OnePlus, the phone doesn’t generate excessive heat due to new integrated circuit in 30W charger and the phone, as well as tuned power management software. For security, there is in-display fingerprint scanner as well as face unlock.
It features a 6.41-inch FHD+ (2340x1080) optic AMOLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 6. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and Location. The new OnePlus 6T measure 157.5 x74.8 x 8.2mm and weighs 185 grams.
