IIMB is ranked among top 10 in the FT Asia-Pacific Business schools 2018.

Located in the technology and startup city of the country, the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) has been ranked the top B-school of Central Asia by Eduniversal Paris for a decade now. The institute is also No. 1 in the MHRD National Institutional Ranking Framework Rankings 2019. In 2016, IIMB was re-accredited as European Quality Improvement System for a period of five years by the European Foundation of Management Development.

An institute of national importance, IIMB no wonder is a leading business school of Asia driven by the mission to nurture global leaders, entrepreneurs, policymakers through innovative, holistic and transformative education. Along with 11 disciplinary areas, IIMB has 10 Centres of Excellence that offer courses and undertakes research pertaining to the industry.

The IIMB offers a range of Postgraduate, Executive Management Education and Doctoral Programmes in management. Some of the popular courses include Postgraduate Programmes (PGP) in Management, Business Analytics, Fellow Programme in Management (FPM), Public Policy and Management (PGPPM), Enterprise Management (PGPEM) and Executive programme in Management (EPGP).

The institute has key partnerships and collaboration with the government and industry. The IIMB recently collaborated with the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE) to launch a new programme ‘Mahatma Gandhi National Fellowship’ (MGNF). The MGNF programme is aimed at fostering strong skills and development outcomes in district economies. The corporate partnership exists with organisations like Goldman Sachs for women entrepreneurship, Michael and Susan Dell Foundation for incubation of non-profits, and NITI Aayog for scaling up.

The NS Raghavan Centre of Entrepreneurial Learning (NSRCEL) was launched to bring together entrepreneurs, academicians and industry experts to create an impact in the startup ecosystem. Acting as an incubation port, the NSRCEL has its own faculty members focused exclusively on teaching and research relating to entrepreneurship.

The IIMB has deep engagement with international networks such as Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM) and Partnership in International Management (PIM). Recently, the IIMB launched two programmes in foreign lands — FinTech programme with Gabelli School of Business in New York City and General Management Programme (GMPx) in Dubai, which is a testimony to IIMB’s ability to sustain its effort undertaken to achieve an excellent standard in education, research and internationalisation.

The institute has a broad network of partner business schools worldwide through which it offers a Student Exchange Programme in order to provide the students with a cross-cultural exposure and global perspective.

Since its inception in 1973, the IIMB has evolved to ensure the quality of its faculty, research and mentoring, emphasising internationalisation, encouraging entrepreneurship and scaling up the quality of its students intake across programmes.

With IIMB Alumni Association, the institute is also proactive in engaging with its alumni. The institute has produced notable leaders, who have contributed to the nation’s economy and industry such as K.
