With the introduction of the SoundLink Mini Bluetooth speaker and the QuietComfort 20 In-Ear headphones, Bose launched two new products to its lineup on Wednesday, 5 June 2013. Both offer the same high-quality audio Bose prides itself on, and the company claims that the in-ear headphones in particular required more patents than any headphone in history.

The technology-intensive QuietComfort 20 in-ear noise cancelling headphones allows one to be in one's own personal oasis in the midst of alll the noise that a city can pump in. The noise cancelling, powered by a controller at the end of the chord, is among the best in class. In case, you want to hear a bit of what is happening around you, there is an 'Aware' mode that lets you hear some types of sounds like flight announcements or someone talking to you without pulling out the earphones. The QuietComfort 20i Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones come for Rs 22,388.

The SoundLink Mini is small enough to fit across the palm of your hand at just over seven inches wide, and about two inches long and thick. It weighs 1.5 lbs and has been engineered specifically to offer all-around sound. Bose added new passive radiators that are spaced apart, letting them move more air and create better low notes. These are available in India for Rs 16,200.

They also built custom transducers to cover the mids and highs, with speaker grills for both the front and back of the device. It runs Bluetooth A2DP and can remember up to six devices once they’ve been paired. The SoundLink Mini offers wireless charging via the included charging pad, and Bose expects it to last seven hours on a single charge.

The company's first Bluetooth headphone, Bose AE2w Bluetooth Headphone, is  also available in India now, costing Rs 19,013. It's based on the AE2 design. The AE2w Bluetooth headphone has been designed for use with any iPad and are compatible with most mobile Bluetooth devices that support the Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP). The wireless signal works up to 30 feet from the device for an unplugged experience, and an integrated rechargeable battery provides at least seven hours of listening, or over 200 hours in standby mode.
