Mukesh Ambani’s Leisure Acquires Rights Of Italian Soccer Series A

The leisure community, led by Indian businessman Mukesh Ambani, has acquired the broadcast and digital rights for upcoming Italy’s style soccer league series A, for the Indian subcontinent for the three seasons- Spanish soccer league La Liga, ATP Masters (Tennis), and Abu Dhabi T10 (Cricket).

The leisure community, led by Indian businessman Mukesh Ambani, has acquired the broadcast and digital rights for upcoming Italy’s style soccer league series A, for the Indian subcontinent for the three seasons- Spanish soccer league La Liga, ATP Masters (Tennis), and Abu Dhabi T10 (Cricket).


Like others, the season which will start on 21 August will be available throughout Voot, Viacom 18's linear Tv channels, and Jio. Viacom18 has a partnership with the US leisure conglomerate ViacomCBS in the leisure channels in Hindi, English, and regional languages. 


Farzad Palia, Head, SVoD and International Business, Viacom18 Digital Ventures told a leading media house that, at Viacom18, we are looking at multiple properties and evaluating them on a case-to-case basis. For us, the financials should make sense. We have built big brands and have the support of the right audience with us. We can provide the owners and partners with a good surround network and will reach over 200 million followers over our platforms. 

Earlier, Viacom18 has additionally aired Nidahas Trophy, the tri-nation match between India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, exhibition T20 cricket competitors Road Safety World Series, in addition to poker and combat leagues.


Meanwhile, Reliance Industries headed by Mukesh Ambani slipped its ranking by three points to 57th position in the most valued Indian company in an international list of top-50 state-run companies.
