Moto C Smartphone Launched In India: Prices And Specs Comparison With Rivals

Lenovo owned Motorola launched its budget smartphone Moto C in India on Friday (2 June) for Rs 5,999.

The competition in low-budget smartphone segment is becoming fierce day-by-day; Moto C will face tough competition with Mi Redmi 4A.

Moto C runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and powered by 1.1 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6580M processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It has 16GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB through a MicroSD card.

The smartphone features a 5-inch FWVHA (854x480) display. It sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash; on the front is a 2-megapixel selfie-camera with LED Flash.

Moto C is backed by a removable 2350mAh battery. The 4G LTE dual-SIM smartphone comes in two body colors - Pearl White and Starry Black. Connectivity options of smartphone include - Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, Micro USB 3.0, 3.5mm audio-jack and A-GPS.

On the other hand, its rival Redmi 4A gets the edge in terms of specifications. Priced at Rs 5,999, the Redmi 4A will be available for buyers from Thursday (8 June) on Amazon India and Mi.com.

The dual-SIM smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUI 8.0 on top and powered by 1.4 Ghz quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The handset features a 5-inch HD (1280x720) display and has 16GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 128GB through a MicroSD card.

It sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and f/2.2 aperture, on the front is a 5-megapixel selfie camera with wide f/2.2 aperture. The 131.5g handset is backed by a non-removable 3120 mAh battery. It comes in three body color options- Gold, Rose and Dark Grey. Connectivity options includes- Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, 3.5mm audio-jack, A-GPS and GLONASS.

Redmi 4A have more RAM than Moto C, better camera, better processor and extra storage capacity. Redmi 4A is also much lighter in weight than Moto C. Both smartphones are priced at Rs 5,999 in India.
