Modi 2.0 Ministers Declared: Here Is A List Of Who Gets What

In a complete revamp to the top three ministries - Home, Finance, Defence - the new cabinet has some unexpected surprises. Here is a complete list.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday named Nirmala Sitharaman, previously the country's defence minister, as the next finance minister, while the chief of his Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will become home minister.

BJP President Shah masterminded the party's landslide victory in the April-May general election.

Modi has given Defence Ministry to veteran leader Rajnath Singh.

The President of India, as advised by the Prime Minister, has directed the allocation of portfolios among the following members of the Union Council of Ministers:
       
Narendra Modi Prime Minister and also in-charge of: Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions; Department of Atomic Energy; Department of Space; and All important policy issues; and All other portfolios not allocated to any Minister.
