Lipstick Under My Burkha is growing strong at the ticket window with each passing day. Released with a very limited screen count, the film has sustained very good occupancy at the box-office. Starting the proceedings, the film collected Rs 1.2 crore on Friday (21st July). Lipstick Under My Burkha saw a growth of over 50 per cent on Saturday (22nd July) and Sunday (23rd July), collecting Rs 2.2 crore and Rs 2.4 crore respectively.

Riding on great reviews and solid word of mouth, the film has retained good numbers on Monday collecting Rs 1.28 crore, taking the total collections to Rs 7.08 crore. Maintaining the same numbers as that of Friday is a tough ask, but Lipstick Under My Burkha has been successful in bringing its set of audience to the theatres. The film is expected to perform on the same lines throughout the week and close week 1 over Rs 10 crore. Made at a mere budget of Rs 6.5 crore, the film is already raking in profits for the makers.

Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk is ruling the worldwide box-office. The film debuted with over $100 million (approx. Rs 650 crore) in the first weekend. The U.S. box-office alone contributed to more than $50 million (approx. Rs 325 crore) in the first three days.

Dunkirk is going very strong in India. Thursday’s paid previews brought in Rs 1.5 crore for the film in very limited screens. Getting a full release on Friday (21st July), the film opened with Rs 3.80 crore. Dunkirk saw a boost in collections on Saturday (22nd July), collecting Rs 4.5 crore. Sunday (23rd July) brought in Rs 4.8 crore for the film.

Dunkirk is witnessing great occupancy in the multiplexes. With good audience turn-out, the film retained good footfalls and collected approx. Rs 3 crore on Monday (24th July), taking the total collections to over Rs 17 crore. Being the first choice of movie-goers in the multiplexes, Dunkirk is expected to bring in good numbers through the weekdays. The film is proving to be a tough competitor for Munna Michael and has outscored the latter in many territories.

Tiger Shroff starrer Munna Michael saw a big bump in collections on Monday. The collections of Munna Michael went down by over 50% to Rs 3.2 crore. After posting decent number on the weekends, Munna Michael was expected to take a beating on the weekdays, due to the poor reviews and negative word of mouth surrounding the film. Released in over 3000 screens, Munna Michael definitely had a very large ground to cover. The film has certainly let down the expectations of the exhibitors and is expected to get a huge screen cut in the coming days.

The film now stands at a total collection of Rs 24.92 crore in 4 days. Made at a budget of Rs 45 crore, the film will definitely struggle to rake in profits for the makers. Looking at the weekday’s occupancy report, the film is expected to sink further in the coming days.
