Kapiva Ayurveda Forays Into Rare And Natural Product Segment By Launching Pure Moringa Honey
Ropes in renowned wellness author and expert Amit Vaidya to launch the limited-edition product range.

Kapiva Ayurveda is all set to launch a limited edition of Pure Moringa honey, an extremely rare breed of honey with medicinal properties and health benefits.
Only a few thousand kilos of Pure Moringa Honey is available for sale every year and it is difficult to source an entirely pure version of Moringa honey. Kapiva has managed to procure a small batch of this honey, whose nutritional profile is similar to that of Manuka Honey of New Zealand.
“We have sourced the Moringa Honey from a small farm in East India. The pure form of Moringa Honey is rare to find and venturing into this area of sourcing lesser-known, rare, Indian products is a natural process in the product development space for Kapiva. And we have seen growing interest among the health and wellness seekers in the country for such exclusive products. We have plans to launch more such products which are pure, of high quality and by their very nature, destined to be available only in limited batch size, said Ameve Sharma, Co-founder, Kapiva Ayurveda.
The Pure Moringa Honey will be launched in collaboration with another well-known personality of the global natural wellness space, Amit Vaidya, the best-selling author of the memoir, Holy Cancer and the upcoming Food Is Medicine cookbook series. Amit is the consulting health and wellness expert for Kapiva.
Going forward, Kapiva has plans to launch an entire range of such limited-edition products in collaboration with Amit. One of the products in the pipeline is ghee made from the milk of Vechur cows. The Vechur cow is a rare Indian breed and the milk it produces is considered very high in nutrition - the anti-bacterial property of the lactoferrin protein present in the Vechur Cow milk is more than that of the antibiotic ampicillin. Lesser-known strains of tea and even tender coconut vinegar are other potential products in this range.
Set up in early 2016, Kapiva is a start-up in the fast-growing natural and clean food market. The company’s first avatar was in the form of Ayurveda clinics, but they soon pivoted into focussing on wellness products. Kapiva leads in categories such as herbal juices and is gaining a stronghold in food categories such as ghee, honey, and plant nutrition. Even within these categories, the focus has been to bring a better, more nutritious product to consumers. For example, Kapiva Ghee is made from A2 milk, i.e. milk from non-genetically modified cows which is considered more nutritious. The honey is not the typically processed variety. Kapiva Wild Honey comes directly from dense forest regions and is not processed at all.
