The political landscape of India is witnessing the constant change, from cabinet reshuffles to big leaders' resignations, the country is witnessing it all.

In the recent development, Former Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) Students' Union President Kanhaiya Kumar and Gujarat MLA Jignesh Mevani, on Tuesday, joined the India National Congress (INC) in the presence of Rahul Gandhi at New Delhi.

Mevani is an independent MLA from the Gujrat's Vadgam constituency and convener of Rashtriya Dalit Adhikar Manch (RDAM), while Kanhaiya Kumar is a CPI National Executive member.

Interestingly, during the 2017 Gujarat Legislative Assembly Election, the Congress Party did not project any of its candidates against Mevani in the Vadgam constituency.

Meanwhile, in Punjab, the crisis for Congress is far from over as Navjot Singh Sidhu has resigned from the post of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee Chief.

The move came 10 days after Captain Amarinder Singh stepped down as the Chief Minister of Punjab. The move also came before the visit of former CM Amarinder Singh to Delhi.

Sidhu in his resignation letter wrote, "The collapse of a man's character stems from the compromise corner. I can never compromise on Punjab's future and the agenda for the welfare of Punjab. Therefore, I hereby resign as the President of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee. I will continue to serve the Congress."

Sidhu was appointed as the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President in the month of July.

Former CM of Punjab, Captain Amarinder Singh took a dig at Sidhu. Singh took to his Twitter and wrote, "I told you so…he is not a stable man and not fit for the border state of Punjab."
