Judges of Patna High Court leave the court for one hour and go to the Judicial academy to listen to Dalai Lama’s speech without any prior notice in the court hours. This happened for the first time when Chief Justice and Judges of Patna high court were not present in the court in court hours.
On Monday, the court started on usual times at 10:30 am, however, Judges joined at 11:30 am, almost an hour late.
According to the court association, only two Judges were present in the court at that time Justice Arvind Shrivasta and Justice P K Jha, informed by President of Advocate Association Patna High Court.
"We can see the seriousness of the legal system here where the Chief Justice (Amreshwar Pratap Sahi) of Patna High Court himself went to listen to the speech rather than coming to court and serve justice to the victims," said an advocate who was present at the site.
There is the outrage by the advocates in Patna High Court who are blaming Judges for delayed justice.
There are already many pending cases in the courts and because of this behaviour of judges, the burden of cases can go higher. Such behaviour will further reduce the faith of the common man in the judicial system.
