Indian Banks To Remain Closed For 7 In Upcoming Days

And last Saturday, (October 16) banks were closed in Sikkim’s Gangtok on the occasion of Durga Puja. Also, banks are closed in all of India, on Sunday i.e. October 17 Talking about October, there are 21 bank holidays in the entire month.

Amid the ongoing festivities, Indian Banks are going to be closed for six days in the coming week starting Monday, October 18, as per the regulations issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

During the first half of October, several banks were closed for 11 days.

And last Saturday, (October 16) banks were closed in Sikkim’s Gangtok on the occasion of Durga Puja. Also, banks are closed in all of India, on Sunday i.e. October 17 Talking about October, there are 21 bank holidays in the entire month.

Here is the list of upcoming holidays in Banks:  

1. October 19: Id-E-Milad, banks will be closed in National Capital, Bhopal, Belapur, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Chennai, Dehradun, Imphal, Jammu, Kanpur, Kochi, Lucknow, Srinagar, Raipur, Thiruvananthapuram Ranchi, Mumbai, and Nagpur

2. October 20: Banks will be closed in Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Shimla, Kolkata, and Agartala because of Valmiki Jayanti.

3. October 22: Banks will be closed in Jammu and Srinagar for Eid-i-Milad-ul-Nabi. 

4. October 23: Fourth Saturday.

5. October 24: Sunday.

6. October 26: Accession Day (Srinagar and Jammu)

7. October 31: Sunday

As per the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) regulations, Indian banks have to be closed on all public holidays, however, there are going to be few regional holidays, limited to particular states only.
