India’s Cumulative COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage Crosses 92 Cr: Govt

Amid the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, on Wednesday, said that India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage crossed 92 crore (92,17,65,405) 

The Health Ministry, in a statement, said that a total of 24,770 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours which took the cumulative tally of recovered patients to 3,31,75,656.

"India’s recovery rate stands at 97.94 per cent. Recovery Rate is currently at its highest peak since March 2020," the ministry said. 

Meanwhile, a total of 18,833 fresh cases were reported in the last 24 hours. The active caseload is presently 2,46,687, which is the lowest in 203 days. Active cases presently constitute 0.73 per cent of the country's total positive cases.

Talking about the COVID-19 tests, in the 24 hours a total of 14,09,825 tests were conducted which have taken the cumulative tally to 57.68 crore (57,68,03,867).

 While testing capacity has been enhanced across the country, the weekly positivity rate is at 1.68 per cent which remains less than 3 per cent for the last 103 days now. 

The daily positivity rate reported is at 1.34 per cent. The daily positivity rate has remained below 3 per cent for the last 37 days and below 5 per cent for 120 consecutive days now, the ministry informed.
