India Inc Gears Up To Celebrate World Environment Day

India Inc is all set to showcase their environment conservation initiatives to celebrate World Environment Day on June 5. Companies are adopting at various methods to mitigate the problems of climate change. Making sustainability their top priority, India Inc is certainly treading the eco friendly path.  
 
Companies such as Vodafone, Infosys, Godrej Group and Godrej Nature’s Basket are all geared up for World Environment Day. Vodafone India has launched a novel initiative to benefit the wildlife corridor between Kanha-Pench wildlife reserves by planting 3,00,000 trees over three years. 
 
Infosys is conducting various initiatives across their different development centers and engaging their employees on ‘World Environment Day.  At Pune centre, the company is setting up eco stalls for smartbin and jute bag, displaying electric vehicles and screening ‘Home, Planet Earth’ movie. 
 
Godrej reiterated its commitment towards building a more inclusive and greener India. By 2020, the company aspire to build ‘Greener India’ through achieving zero waste and carbon neutrality. 
 
Pearson VUE expands exam delivery with ProctorCam acquisition
Global computer-based testing leader Pearson VUE on Thursday announced the acquisition of ProctorCam, a leading online proctored testing platform. The integration of an online proctoring solution will enable Pearson VUE clients to extend the reach of their testing programs to remote areas and expand the breadth of their programs.

Bob Whelan, managing director of Pearson VUE, said: “We are committed to ongoing investments in technology and innovation required to grow customer value and bring new products and services to the testing industry.”
 
Sterling and Wilson sets Up 32 mw solar power plant 
Sterling and Wilson, part of Shapoorji Pallonji Group, has recently set up a 32 MW Solar Power Plant for Clean Solar Power, a SPV floated by Hero Future Energies at Goyalkhedi / Kamlakhedi in Madhya Pradesh.

The project was awarded to Clean Solar Power under Phase 2 Batch 1 of JNNSM with 10 MWp under domestic content requirement and remaining 22 MWp under open content requirement (OCR). Sterling and Wilson’s scope of work for Hero Future Energies solar project included design, engineering, supply, fabrication, construction and inspection
 
CHD, Alive join hands for location service 
Alive has joined hands with CHD Developers to launch its latest location service, ZipAR. As part of this collaboration, CHD would be using Alive's ZipAR to showcase its upcoming projects on the augmented reality browser.

People interested in CHD’s realty projects can use Alive’s ZipAR to get details such as map, direction and more. To get started, all they have to do is scan the logo using ZipAR. CHD has launched this service alongside Alive on its new project, Resortico.
