India Begins Cannes Lions Tally With Bronze Lions To TBWA

Despite the previous years’ highs in the Health Track, this year, only TBWA India has managed to bag one Bronze in the category. The second Bronze Lion is in Print Lions.

The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity has kicked off with India putting some points on the Lions scoreboard already. The first day saw winners for the categories Print & Publishing, Outdoor, Design, Pharma and Health Wellness.  So far, India has brought home only two Lions – both from TBWA\ India.

Despite the previous years’ highs in the Health Track, this year, only TBWA India has managed to bag one Bronze in the category. The second Bronze Lion is in Print Lions. 

Both awards are for Neurogen Brain and Spine Institute, entry titled ‘One Mindful Mind’.

“The win for ‘One Mindful Mind’ is especially gratifying as it is perhaps the most compelling and important issues of today - mental wellness of our children. We are also very happy to have Neurogen feature again amongst winners after last year’s stellar show. Our health and design teams have done a stellar job! Proud of them,” said Govind Pandey, CEO, TBWA India.

According to the last two years past records, India has done wonders in the Health & Wellness category. To recall, in 2017 McCann WorldGroup (India) won the Health Grand Prix and then TBWA India went on to win it in 2018 allowing India’s winning streak to continue in the category. However this year in 2019, despite failing to score a hat trick for the grand prix, it did manage to take home two bronze metal.
