How Kabaddi Buzzed Indian Audiences

After T20, India’s very own sport Kabaddi has seen its resurrection this season, with the Pro-kabaddi league experiencing an overwhelming success among the Indian audiences. The once, ‘limited to hinterlands’ sport is now every household’s evening excitement.

As the sporting event reaches its finale this weekend and the cheers begin to crescendo, Nimbuzz reached out to the new and old fans of this indigenous sport to understand their perspective on the sport and what do they think of its future in the country. Nimbuzz’s Pulse of the Nation initiative pushed out a string of questions everyday through the Pulse of the Nation Chat Buddy that appear as regular contacts on the chat roster of over 25 million Nimbuzz users across the country and collated their opinions into the Pro Kabaddi special report.

Govt Should Protect & Nurture SME Manufacturers In India: MAIT
IT SMEs have a crucial part to play towards realising the new government’s objective of making India a manufacturing hub. The government is going to assist SMEs who wants to set up manufacturing facilities in India. With an aim to create awareness among SMEs about the various initiatives, policies and schemes by the government, MAIT, the apex body representing India’s IT hardware, training and R&D services sectors, in association with the Ministry of Communication & Information Technology and Ministry of MSME organised “MAIT ICT SME Conclave – 2014” in Noida.

It aimed to equip the SMEs to prepare themselves thoroughly for evaluating the business opportunities and take necessary actions in developing their enterprises with the help of IT to achieve business goals.

Anwar Shirpurwala, Executive Director, MAIT said, “The initiative of the new Government is extremely encouraging, especially its focus on the manufacturing sector. However, what is needed is a clear roadmap for implementation. Through this conclave we are socializing government schemes to SMEs and are helping them to leverage it for manufacturing.”
