How Artificial Intelligence Will Ensure Agility IT Staffing

Since the time immemorial, whenever some major technological revolutions have entered the working landscape, people mostly blame the disruptions for bringing on the crisis. But, in reality, new technologies come with the potential to hone much of what we know about the way people work. And, similar has been the case, throughout starting from steam engines to computers and now to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data algorithms. 

In a nutshell, it is the proper planning, patience, and persistence to work with these technologies that turn these resources into a great medium of realizing the opportunities that didn't get tapped before. Confirming the same, a new report by the World Economic Forum (WEF), “The Future of Jobs 2018” states that the growth of AI in the workplace is expected to create around 58 million new jobs in the next few years. Although the last few years witnessed a high saturation of jobs for IT professionals, the sudden upsurge of AI and Industry 4.0 is sure to create a plethora of jobs for IT graduates both in the national and international grounds.  

1. Data Analysts 

The coming years will witness an exponential rise in the use of new technologies like IoT, data analytics, machine learning, image analysis thus, producing large amounts of data. The need to leverage this data is already a big challenge facing most of the industries, and the same will grow substantially with time. So, technical experts with a right hand in handling, interpreting and analyzing of data in meaningful ways can strategically improve the business productivity by employing informed recommendations and adequate business trend predictions well in advance.

2. Man-machine coordinator

With human minds and automated bots coming in close interaction to deliver work like never before, chaos is sure to happen if not managed well. Businesses have great objectives to achieve with this man-machine collaboration; they can't bear the brunt of going wrong with it. And, to ensure the smooth flow of work throughout, businesses will be on the hunt for individuals who can successfully design roadmaps to respond to these new opportunities. The crucial task for this job role is developing and managing an interaction system through which humans and machines mutually coordinate and communicate their capabilities and intentions for realizing the common business goals.

3. IT trainer

With AI, machine learning and automation getting mainstreamed in almost every industry, there will be a significant hike in the jobs of IT trainers. Businesses will hire these professionals for a two-way training procedure, including both the machines and human minds.

On one end, they will be required to counsel the AI-devices to get a better understanding of the human emotions, and on the other, the target will be on training the employees to better utilize the AI-devices as per the needs of their job profile. Similarly, there will be an urgent need for AI and Machine Learning researchers and developers who are ready to make the machines more human-friendly by instilling human emotions and intuition. 

4. Security Analysts

With the rising switch of individuals from offline to online industries, also risen the crime and fraud rates utilizing the new technologies. And, it is to secure their respective business profiles and identities that organizations will demand IT professionals who are well skilled at tracking, immuning and recovering the AI-devices from cyber intrusions of any sorts. So, those with a deep understanding of networking, information security and privacy skills along with good system programming and management knowledge, will continue to have highly-benefitting jobs for the many years to come. 

The gist of the discussion

With this net positive job growth in the IT sector over a significant period, there is expected to be a substantial shift in the demographics of work profiles. While the right amount of regular jobs will be dissolved with the inhabitation of AI in industries, an enormous ocean of many new jobs with much-enhanced expectations and demands will also be flowing in with time. Those, who are ready to improvise their skills with the flow of technological disruption, will come with a winning ace in the competition, while others will be left with nothing but meager salaries, and in worst cases unemployment, too.
