Play is a crucial part of a child's learning and development. In today’s digital age where iPods, IPads, cell phones, Skype, and podcasts have taken over the fun and learning experience of children, it is essential that they do not miss out on learning, social interaction, physical activities, and emotional intelligence skills. While many games and apps on smartphones are good at building some learning skills and also provide great gaming experiences, they can never replace the human interaction. To make up for this inadequacy, amusement parks, and theme parks are being introduced across the world.
At times, outdoor play is not possible due to circumstances such as weather conditions, inadequate space, etc. due to which a child can resort to playing inside and are attached to their devices, computers, and video games. To avoid this situation, there are indoor play parks that have now started mushrooming across cities in India. Having amusement parks and theme parks have truly worked as a boon for children as they can experience immense learning, imagination, and exposure while at the same time ensuring that their safety is taken care of.Keeping updated with the behavioral and emotional changes in today’s kids, theme and amusement parks have evolved themselves accordingly. By incorporating fun elements to keep the child and in certain cases, also the parent, these parks promise to keep the customer engaged. Without limiting the kids, the new age parents who are aware of the harmful effects of technological ‘monsters’, are actively exploring and preferring exceptional methods of learning for their children. Although access to these parks come with a fee, they allow the kids to delve into the world of imagination and live glimpses of it in real. They bring together experiences of role-play activities, new tools, and technology. Least to say, they help your child indulge in a lot of physical, emotional and creative endeavors.
Having theme and amusement parks promise physical and at the same time some ‘real’ play. Our ‘millennials’ can surely have lots of fun if they picked these parks over their electronic gadgets, Netflix and play stations. Such spaces allow you to awaken your dreams – especially for those who are young and ‘young at heart’.
To conclude, amusement and theme parks truly allow the building of physical, mental, and social skills when compared to the digital playrooms.
