HP Unloads New PCs With The Latest Intel 6th Generation Processors

HP announced a number of new products in India on Wednesday (28th October 2015) which includes laptops and desktops in the consumer as well as the commercial range. The consumer range consists of the new Pavilion 13 x360, Envy 13 and Pavilion 15 Star Wars Special Edition while the ProDesk 400 G2, ProOne 400 G2 AiO PC and ProBook 430 G3 were announced for commercial use. All of the new products will be running on Windows 10 and the 6th-generation Intel processors making HP one of the first brands to usher in the new processor range by Intel.

The HP Pavilion 13 x360 is a convertible laptop which is quite similar to the Spectre x360, using the same hinge mechanism and metal finish. The notebook features a 13.3-inch full-HD (1920x1080) resolution IPS touch display and can be configured with the latest 6th-generation Intel Core i5 or Core i3 processor with Intel HD GPU along with 4GB of memory and 1TB of hard drive storage. The notebook range starts at Rs. 45,990.
The HP Envy 13 is a sleek looking machine which is about 12.95mm in thickness with unibody metal design. HP says that it is one the thinest laptops they have ever made and like the Pavilion this too has a13.3-inch display. It als comes with an integrated fingerprint sensor, Bang and Olufsen speakers, and will be configurable with a 6th-generation Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor. Prices start at  Rs. 64,990.
 
The most eye-catching product was the HP Pavilion 15 Star Wars Special Edition. HP said that it is the first tech product ever to be closely associated with popular movie franchise, Star Wars. The laptop comes with a 15.6-inch full-HD resolution (1920x1080) display, 6th-generation Intel Core i5 processor, upto 16GB of RAM, and an Nvidia 940M which will come as a standard and can be upgraded to a 950M. Other features include a 1TB hard drive and Bang and Olufsen speakers as a standard with options to install an SSD and also add an Intel RealSense camera. The laptop is fully covered in Star Wars decals, special fonts on the backlit keyboard as well as loaded with a special Star Wars Command Center that will give users access to exclusive Star Wars material which will include over 1,100 images, sketches, themes, galleries and comics for the ultimate Star Wars fanatics. The Special Edition laptop will be bundled with a special Star Wars mouse and sleeve and will be available for Rs.73,000 from the 20th of November. 
 
In the commercial range HP announced two desktops, the HP ProOne 400 G2 AiO and the ProDesk 400 G2.  The ProOne 400 G2 AiO is a sweet looking PC featuring a 20-inch IPS LCD display with a 1600x900  resolution. It will be configurable to a 6th-generation Intel Core i3, Core i5, Core i7 and Celeron processors with up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM,  2TB hard drive and a webcam. 
 
The ProDesk 400 G2  which is a tradition micro-tower PC will also be confgurable with Intel Core i3, Core i5, Core i7 and Celeron chipsets but will have space for up to 16GB of DDR3 RAM,  2TB hard drive and support Intel HD, AMD Radeon, and Nvidia GPUs.  The ProOne 400 G2 AiO and ProDesk 400 G2 start at Rs. 49,000, and Rs. 45,000 respectively. 
 
The ProBook 430 G3 aims for business professionals and features  a 13.3-inch HD display, 6th-generation Intel Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7 processor options along with RAM options of up to 16GB.  It can be configured with up to 1TB inbuilt storage and features a HD  camera and security features like HP Client Security, HP BIOSphere as well as the embedded TPM 1.2. The range starts at  Rs. 49,990
