Gupshup Launches Cricket Icons

The Indian mobile messaging app, GupShup Messenger introduced a wide range of icons for the new season of Cricket to add fun to the Cricketainment. These icons includes popular teams, sixer, bowled, cheergirls, It's a four, Its a six and numerous other emoticons related to Cricket. 
 
"With cricket in the air, GupShup is excited to launch cricket icons that enable users to share messages with their friends," says Beerud Sheth, Co-founder & CEO, GupShup Technologies.
 
Gupshup also has come up with emoticons of umpire, teams, shots and numerous activities happening during cricket.

Pune Warriors Sign American Swan As Their Clothing Partner
The struggling team of this season, Pune Warriors have signed the online fashion and lifestyle brand American Swan as their official lifestyle clothing partner. The Pune Warriors players will be seen wearing co-branded American Swan apparel on field. This association with be promoted by both partners through their digital properties; their official site and social media channels.

Royals Of Rajasthan Root For A Cleft Free State
While Rajasthan Royals is cementing their strength on field this season, they are also upbeat about their responsibility off field. Along with Operation Smile, India and Santokba Durlabhji Memorial Hospital, Jaipur (SDMH), the team announced a new comprehensive cleft care centre that will provide free surgeries to support the cleft care movement in Rajasthan. Additionally, a 'comprehensive care package', which includes dental, nutrition, and speech therapy services, is also introduced here. 
 
"We believe that by working together, we can achieve so much more to change the lives of children afflicted with cleft deformity," says Manoj Badale, Co-owner, Rajasthan Royals & Chairman, Operation Smile UK.
 
The initiative reaches out to individuals suffering from cleft based deformities across the state drawing support from Rotary International as an Outreach Partner.

Batting For Differently-abled Youth
Stairs Cricket Academy recently announced its first cricket academy for specially-abled youth in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh.
 
"There is a significant dearth of sports coaching and training facilities for youth with disabilities in India and very little in terms of infrastructure in ensuring that persons with disabilities have equal access. In March 2013, Stairs had organized a cricket camp for specially-abled children at Sports Stadium, Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh. Over 200 differently-abled children were seen in action during the camp and some of these players were selected for the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Team for Differently abled," says Anil Upadhyay, President, Stairs.
 
Stairs also organises sports camps at regular intervals to promote youth talent.
