BMC Software India is a global leader in software solutions. It helps IT transform traditional businesses into digital enterprises for the ultimate competitive advantage. From mainframe to mobile to cloud and beyond, the company pairs high-speed digital innovation with robust IT industrialisation, allowing its customers to provide intuitive user experiences with optimised performance, cost, compliance, and productivity. The Pune-based IT firm offers a fun and welcoming workplace to its employees, with digitally enhanced people practices to help them manage their work-life balance.
Sharing the work experience, an employee says, “BMC provides a calm environment to work in. Despite the work pressure, you will always find people working together and achieving their desired goals. I have been around for almost eight years now, but with the available work environment, I still have the passion and willingness to do more.” Shashank Bhushan, India Head & VP-HR, BMC Software India, on the other hand, likes to credit employees for the work atmosphere. “People here have the working mindset, appreciate new things and my team is the best example of teamwork always there to help out,” he says.
In 2018 the company launched a new programme called ‘BMC In a Box’ for talent acquisition, which is actually a sales pitch for recruiters for candidates they hire. Recruiters, hiring managers and technical panels involved in hiring programmes are trained on BMC In a Box. Everyone, therefore, speaks in the one BMC language with candidates, which fosters their confidence in the company as an employer.
‘The Presence Initiative’ programme was started to promote leaders and senior executives of BMC as thought leaders and value champions in their areas of expertise, not only within the company but also across the industry as a whole. Under this initiative, these thought leaders continuously work to increase their influence across multiple segments through various media like YouTube, Quora, blogs, and personal websites, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter, where they share stories, experiences, values and philosophy of their personal and professional life.
