Ford India’s combined domestic wholesales and exports in July reached 26,075 vehicles from 17,742 vehicles in the corresponding month last year.

“Despite the administrative challenges associated with the introduction of goods and services tax (GST), Ford has continued to grow faster than the industry,” said Anurag Mehrotra, president & managing director, Ford India.

“While the short term headwinds associated with GST and rising input costs remain, we believe a good monsoon, favourable financing rates and rise in consumer confidence will provide a good impetus for the industry.”

Strengthening the senior leadership team, Ford also announced the elevation of Vinay Raina as the new executive director of Marketing, Sales & Service. Lakshmi Ramkumar, in charge of dealer development, replaces Raina as the new vice president, sales at Ford India.

“We remain committed to building a sustainable and profitable business based on our four strategic pillars of a strong brand, right products, competitive cost and effective scale. The wealth of experience that Vinay and Lakshmi bring will further strengthen us to deliver the Ford promise of trust, and transparency to our customers,” added Mehrotra.
