Flintobox, one of the key offerings of Flinto Learning Solutions has rolled out a social initiative ‘Flinto Change-Makers’. The initiative is built with an intent to raise a generation of kids that is empathetic, socially responsible and work towards creating a sustainable world for everyone to live in.

Amidst rising concerns towards climate change and water crisis, this initiative is aimed to save up to 90 billion litres of water in a year, if every child from more than six lakh Flinto family uses it.

According to the Composite Water Management Index (CWMI) report released by the NitiAayog in 2018, 21 major cities (Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad and others) are racing to reach zero groundwater levels by 2020, affecting access for 100 million people. The generation ahead needs to be apprised and taught about environmental sustainability and water conservation. Flintobox through its game aims to inculcate awareness on water conservation in both parents and kids.

Speaking on this initiative, Vijaybabu Gandhi, COO & Co-Founder, Flinto Learning Solutions, said, “Water crisis is an erupting issue and we as organisations need to awaken the next generations towards creating sustainable solutions.”

“We have always put children at the heart of our company. Now, we want to put ‘social concern’ at the heart of our children. For this, we are transforming complex ideas into fun and interactive games for the kids to learn, play and change the world for the better. This game will develop a sense of social responsibility and empathy in them through positive reinforcement,” he added.

As part of the initiative, Flinto Early Learning Research Foundation has designed a 21-day water-saving game to evoke a sense of water conservation among children using simple and easy-to-follow water-saving hacks. This is a complementary activity in Flintobox’s August subscription for children.

In a step towards encouragement, Flintobox is also calling for a pledge to save water through its initiative and via the website.

Through the 21-day water saver campaign, Flinto aspires to make this complex concept simple for the children through a fun and interesting game, thereby inculcating a lifelong habit of water conservation. It will allow the children to play for 21 days in a row and save up to 8610 litres of water. As positive reinforcement, they will also get rewarded with special gifts on the 7th, 14th and 21st day respectively.

Apart from the 21-Day water saver game, the Flinto Early Learning Research Foundation has also planned other initiatives for future under Flinto Change-Makers; Good Touch, Bad Touch (a campaign to teach about good touch and bad touch), Pink=Blue (A campaign against gender stereotyping), The CrossRoad Puzzle (A campaign to teach road sense and traffic rules), Buddy Or Bully (Campaign against bullying) and Mission Earth-Savers (to teach the importance of a sustainable environment).
